Hallar el grado absoluto de un monomio

Sea el monomio:
$$M(x,y,z)=5x^{2n-4}y^{3n+1}z^{5n-8}$$
Hallar su grado absoluto sabiendo que $\text{GR}(z)=12$.

Solución.

Por dato $\text{GR}(z)=12$, es decir
$$5n-8=12\Rightarrow 5n=20\Rightarrow n=4$$
De donde el monomio es
$$\begin{align}
M(x,y,z)&=5x^{2(4)-4}y^{3(4)+1}z^{5(4)-8}\\
M(x,y,z)&=5x^{4}y^{13}z^{12}
\end{align}$$
El grado absoluto de $M(x,y,z)$ es
$$\begin{align}
\text{GA}(M)&=4+13+12\\
\text{GA}(M)&=29
\end{align}$$
